CoreOS is happy to announce that we are a member of the founding class of the Kubernetes Certified Service Provider (KCSP) program. Created by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), KCSP certification is designed to help customers identify companies that provide services to assist with the implementation, adoption and production usage of Kubernetes within their environments.
As pioneers in the cloud native world and the creators of fundamental Kubernetes ecosystem software including etcd and CNI, our leadership within the CNCF Governing Board and our dedicated active Kubernetes contributors make us a natural founding member of the KCSP program. KCSP certification gives Kubernetes users confidence that they can look to CoreOS as the experts in enterprise Kubernetes when it comes to implementation, adoption and production usage within their environments.
The KCSP program ensures that participating service providers are properly vetted to support production and operational needs. Qualification requires three or more engineers passing the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam, demonstrable active contribution in the Kubernetes community, and a business model that supports enterprise end users, which includes on-site engineering work with customers.
As a member of this founding class of KCSPs, we at CoreOS are pleased to continue our leadership and participation in the open source community, furthering the evolution of modern distributed systems at scale by helping enterprises successfully adopt Kubernetes. What this means for customers is yet more validation that CoreOS support services, professional services, and training are best positioned to assist them in achieving their business objectives. Whether it be dramatically improving operational tasks and efficiencies at customers like Ticketmaster, significantly improving the overall developer experience at customers like Concur, or directly collaborating with customers and the community on functional requirements critical to business operations, CoreOS experience and proven results at any scale and stage of adoption is unmatched in the industry.
